Order and Supply chain Management

At Maple Tree, we use the Infor/ BAAN ERP system powered by Oracle for the management and tracking of all products.  The ERP system provides a revision controlled hierarchical BOM for each product which drives purchasing, inspection and production based on orders.

External Suppliers

Maple Tree’s team of carefully selected suppliers are known for their specialized skills and use of the latest manufacturing equipment; for example- Amada laser cutters, Brown & Sharpe CMM, Fuji SMT.

Many of these suppliers are also providing for other high quality global brands such as BMW, Haier and Toyota.

Furthermore, Maple Tree's engineering and inspection staff supervise all processes and results through completion including inbound inspection, in-house final assembly, testing and packing for export. The use of customized computer based test equipment helps ensure maximum functional testing.

Typical Manufacturing flow

Although products may vary, a typical process flow is as follows :

  1. Prepare and transfer documents including BOM, material specifications and inspection criteria, drawings, operations procedure (SOP) and inspection test plan (ITP);
  2. Engineering Study to analyse and prepare localisation and manufacturing recommendations;
  3. ITP review and agreement including qualification testing (after changes) and production testing (per batch);
  4. Design and prepare moulds & tooling (eg. casting, forging, injection, shaping, stamping etc) including qualification testing;
  5. Design and prepare manufacturing and test equipment including SOP, jigs, etc;
  6. Manufacture samples and execute testing both by Maple Tree Global and customer;
  7. Certification such as CSA, FDA, UL etc;
  8. Production orders;

The following are key success factors:
