Our sustainability strategy is focused on actionable, measurable targets in the areas where we can make the greatest impact:

1. The Path to Net Zero & 100% Green Energy – To reach our 2040 Net Zero target, we are aggressively reducing our operational carbon footprint (Scope 1 and 2 emissions). Following the successful 2023 transition to renewable energy at our Canadian headquarters, we are now implementing a multi-phase renewable energy strategy for our Malaysian manufacturing facility. Through strategic investments we expect our global operations to be powered by 100% renewable energy by 2030.
2. Less Waste, Smarter Packaging – The production of single-use medical devices inherently presents waste challenges, however it also saves the energy intensive process of re-sterilization. Taking a “less waste, more care” approach, we are actively optimizing our material and production techniques as well as working with customers to optimise packaging designs. By eliminating excess material and right-sizing our cartons and pouches, we reduce our ecological footprint without compromising the sterile barrier or our strict ISO 13485 and FDA compliance. This efficiency also helps our healthcare partners reduce their downstream storage and disposal burdens.
3. Resource Efficiency & Factory Diversion – We are continuously refining our production processes to minimize scrap and responsibly manage resource consumption on the factory floor. Our long-term objective is to achieve a greater than 90% landfill diversion rate, matching the industry’s “zero waste to landfill” standards and supporting our broader Net Zero ambitions. Our recycling program is already many years advanced and saved tonnes of material from landfills.
